The Closing of the Diocesan Inquiry for the Cause of the Canonization of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey was held on 18th January 2017. Most Rev. Chinnabathini Bhagyaiah, the Bishop of Guntur, Most Rev. Joseph Raj Rao, the Bishop of Vijayawada and Most Rev. Dr. Gali Bali, Emeritus of Guntur, were the main celebrants and priests who are involved in different commissions, nearby religious and diocesan priests of Guntur diocese concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. The Diocesan Inquiry Commission submitted the entire documents prepared and authenticated by them through various sources. Most Rev. Chinnabathini Bhagyaiah accepted and sealed the documents with the seal of the Notary and handed over to Rev. Sr. Mary Karickakunnel JMJ, the appointed Courier of the documents to submit it to the Nuncio in Delhi and thus entrust them to the Congregarion for the Cause of Saints in Rome. Srs. Anaclta Boreddy, Showri Tresa, the General Councillors, Sr. Valsa, the General Bursar, the Provincial Councils of Indian Provinces, sisters from four Indian provinces, and lay faithful were present to witness the ceremony. Everyone who took part in this blissful occasion marvelled and praised the glorious and holy life of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey.

Sr. Regina also appreciated all those who helped from the initial stage for documentary study and translation. She requested the gathering to pray for the miracles through the intercession of Sr. Mary Glowrey, the Servant of God. She also said “the real heroes, the real celebrities are the saints; they are the only ones worth imitating.” The life history of our Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey, interwoven with the rich fabric of struggles, hardships and above all her sustained faith in the Lord in the path to Holiness, will definitely inspire, motivate and spur us on to live life with courage and commitment.
After the Holy Eucharist, Most Rev. Chinnabathini Bhagyaiah, the Bishop of Guntur, released the Autobiography of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey. Then the Bishops, General Council, members of different commissions and all those who assisted for this Cause of Canonization were felicitated. The students of our various JMJ institutions depicted the life of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey in the form of dance. Everyone who witnessed this blessed ceremony felt the divine presence and blessings of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey. Let us continue to seek the intercession of Dr. Sr. Mary Glowrey, the Servant of God, who is the stalwart of Medical Apostolate. Let us walk in her footsteps to bear witness to Christ our Lord.
