The day one of the EPC 2017 embraced grace and dawned at 6.15AM with the Holy Mass of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Eucharistic set the tone for the EPC 2017 and energised our souls to receptive to the silent whispers of God’s will and to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
The ecclesial event paved the way for the new beginning and new era of the Congregation of Jesus Mary Joseph (CJMJ).
The PCDs, Sisters from nearby communities, Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Raja Rao, Bishop of Vijayawada, the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Sebasti. L. Raj SJ, the Chapter facilitator and Rev. Fr. Martin, Director of Divine Mercy Centre were accorded a warm welcome.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Raja Rao, in his homily, collating three readings cited the life example of Sr. Rani Maria. He underlined the prophetic and Gospel values visible in her missionary life despite all odds. He emphasized that “Every Provincial Chapter is a new Pentecost, the Spirit manifests himself anew to its members to be united, communitarian and prayerful for the mission with great fraternity and sisterhood beyond boundaries. He stressed upon the dependency on God and quoted “When the power meets power, there is the ugly consequence of power-struggle. When the power meets vulnerability, it becomes alienation. When vulnerability meets vulnerability there is divine intimacy”, then God becomes real in our life. With the same spirit, he invited all the members to enter into the chapter with Godly and transformed mind that would help experience the presence of Spirit.
