FINAL VOWS 2021
Celebrating God’s Grace here and now

Someone has rightly said that the life is a celebration. The perpetual profession in our religious life is a significant milestone that needs to be celebrated. It is a celebration of God’s call and our response to Him. This celebration is a time to look back into life lived and to look forward with hope for God’s tremendous love and fidelity. We, the seven shining stars come with joyful notes of thanksgiving and gratitude to God for His precious call and benevolent blessings showered upon each one of us and on our Congregation Jesus Mary Joseph. We were enthused by the theme of our perpetual profession, “Inspired by the Lord to ignite the World”. It is a very fitting theme to be an ignited consecrated woman.

We feel fortunate and mark this day as a very significant and a memorable day as we commit ourselves fully to the love and service of the Lord. This year on 29th July it was an extra special moment for us as we had a twin celebration: The inauguration of the Bi-Centenary year of the Society of JMJ and our Perpetual profession. An atmosphere of elation and celebration filled our JMJ Snehalaya, the Provincialate campus with a happiness and love. It was a joyful event as we committed our lives forever in the service of the Lord in the Congregation of JMJ.

The day began with the blessing and inauguration of the Bi-centenary year and then followed by perpetual profession. The Holy Eucharist was officiated by the Most Rt. Rev. Chinnabathini Bhagyaiah, the Bishop of Guntur, along with other Priests, religious and the faithful. We were overwhelmed and our joy was doubled by the gracious presence of the Bishop, Provincial and her council, priests, sisters and our beloved family members.

It was a moving experience for us as we stepped in to the Chapel in a procession with a lighted lamp accompanied by our beloved parents to surrender our lives fully to the Lord. It was a great pleasure to have faithful present from different states to witness the marvellous celebration of seven brides despite the pandemic. Our celebration took place with a lot of restrictions and protocols of COVID – 19. It however, was a safe and healthy celebration to all by the power of the Holy Spirit and the blessings of Abba Father. The Holy Eucharistic celebration, with its heavenly choirs and serene atmosphere made the celebration more spiritual and meaningful.

After the Holy Mass, felicitation programme brought a lot of joy and laughter among us as our sisters and family members greeted us with garland, bouquets of flowers and with the gifts. It was a moment of sharing our joy with one - another. The celebration never ends and keeps going. A sumptuous supper was followed by the felicitation programme.

From the core of our being arises a sense of gratefulness to God for His blessings through various people; specially the support and encouragement of our dear Sisters throughout the celebration. We owe our special thanks to our Superior General and her council, our Provincial and her council for accepting us as the permanent members of the CJMJ. We fondly acknowledge the love and sacrifice of our Provincial and her council, the superiors and all the sisters who made this day an unforgettable one. We shall remain ever grateful to the community members for their relentless effort to make this day a success. With a joyful heart and a radiant countenance we come with folded hands to praise the Lord for His abundant blessings and protection. A million thanks to one and all!
